EPM.193 comes from JAK. Jack Coleman (JAK) is a pioneer of the Pacific Northwest U.S. techno scene, recognized as a prolific artist, producer, label boss, event organizer and community builder. As a producer, JAK has released more than 150 original tracks and remixes on labels like Northern Parallels, Trapez, Illegal Alien, and his own imprint, SubSensory Recordings. Now the revered producer and DJ joins the EPM Mix series, taking us into a dub-techno reverie. “As we enter the Pacific Northwest’s long gray and rainy season, I wanted to present something deeper and more introspective than my norm. This 83-minute mix, recorded in my Portland, Oregon studio, features a blend of dub techno and deeper techno sounds, recent finds and older selections and a few gems from my SubSensory label’s past and present.”
