‘Piano Interrupted’ is a brand new collaboration between electronic musician and producer Franz Kirmann and pianist/composer Tom Hodge.  The project sees the pair merge their respective skills to create a sonic landscape perhaps best described as classical glitch.

Tom Hodge is a young composer from London.  His unique and versatile style draws on elements of classical minimalism, groove-based jazz and electronica.  Tom's music has been heard on a wide array of adverts, television productions, films and theatre and includes the classical remix of Daft Punk's 'Aerodynamic' on Ministry of Sound's compilation ‘Uncovered’.  Tom is currently scoring the music for Robert Cavanah's feature film, ‘Pimp’.  His debut classical EP ‘Super Collider’ is due for release in the spring.

Franz Kirmann is a French music producer based in London.  Influenced as much by Krautrock and post-rock than contemporary electronica, his music is often described as organic and cinematic.  His recent EP ‘Little Baby Eyes’, a dreamy collection of glitched-up lullabies, has gained Franz support from many respected DJs across Europe.  He is now putting finishing touches to his fist long player, ‘Random Access Memories’ to be released later in the year.

‘Piano Interrupted I & II’ comes as a limited edition 7” vinyl with III and IV available as bonus downloads on purchase.

London gigs are planned for May with drummer/percussionist Eric Young as well as a second 7” to follow in July.
