NoizyKnobs are a techno duo from Turin (Italy), who have grown up in an urban context where Baroque architecture coexists with the concept of a modern and industrialized city; where underground clubs live in the shadow of car factories and eighteenth century buildings. In their music there are also clear connections to Detroit’s techno scene, combining acid bass lines, melodic chords and pumping beats.
As a live act, they perform with analog synths, drum machines and computers, taking their sound to clubs like Tresor, Factory Milano and the residency they hold at Genau in Turin (one of Italy’s leading techno nights), plus festivals like Varvara, Movement Torino, Kappa Futur Festival and Electroboom.
They have previously released on labels like GND Records, EDR and N.O.I.A. with upcoming tracks on Planet Rhythm and Motech, as well as this new release for Mark Broom’s Beard Man.
Their ‘Luminescence EP’ features three distinct cuts: the deep waves of ‘Alpha Decay’, the slamming beats of ‘Argon’ and the heavy stomp of ‘Xeno’, backed by a remix of ‘Argon’ from Berlin-based, Discrete Circuit who’s fast becoming a regular fixture in the Beard Man camp.
