Truncate makes his Blueprint debut with ‘Terminal 5’. The EP comprises three new tracks of the kind of deep, raw techno that the LA based producer has become renowned for.
David Flores was first introduced to electronic music in the early 90s in Los Angeles and was soon hooked. He started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, desert and rave circuits playing a myriad of sounds from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years he began releasing music as Audio Injection on labels like Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track and LA label Droid Recordings. In fact his association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 and continues to this day. In early 2011, he started the Truncate project to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases have gained critical acclaim with original tracks on many labels such as 50 Weapons, Mote Evolver, Modularz and of course his own Truncate imprint.
His first appearance on Blueprint continues the venture from the biting title track, via the deep and pulsating ‘Process’ to the thumping workout of ‘Tribal Tool’.
‘Terminal 5’ is released on 9th May.
